In this class we learn how to safely & mindfully access backbending as we work towards the wheel as our peak pose. Big focus on warm up & drills for opening chest & shoulders, hip flexors and activating glutes to gradually prepare the body. Variations will be offered to support both beginners & more experienced practitioners - whether it's your first time attempting a wheel pose or you're looking to deepen your practice.
What is the length of this class?
The session will take almost 70 minutes.
Who is this for?
All levels.
Beginners can stop at the stage they can manage & practice within their capacity. There are variations available to make it easier or progress further.
Equipment needed?
Yoga strap & 2 blocks.
We will perform Hatha Sun Salutation during this session. If you want to learn it in more depth, you can buy it separately (check under Hatha Yoga).
